Equipment that may be used for skiing, snowboarding or sliding
- 1.Edges must be attached to skiing/snowboarding/other sliding equipment.
Without edges, it is impossible to perform adequate maneuvers (turns, decelerations, and stops). - 2.The user must be standing.
If the user is crouching down (sitting down), it is difficult to control the speed or stop. - 3.A flow stopper (leash cord) must be worn.
When the skiing/snowboarding/other sliding equipment becomes separated from the rider, e.g., in case of a fall, will the gliding equipment stop immediately by themselves? - 4.The rider must be able to control the speed and operate the equipment properly.
Is the edge length appropriate at riding speed? - 5.A prime mover or drive unit is not attached.
People should descend from slopes from the top. Ascending the slope by any other means than the official lifts can lead to accidents.
