History

1972 Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort opens.
February 1985 The downhill course is certified as an official International Ski Federation (FIS) designated course.
December 1985

  • A six-seater high-speed gondola lift is completed.
November 1987 SGL (Super-Giant Slalom Course) is approved by the Ski Association of Japan (SAJ).
August 1988 1,000-meter Plateau Observation Square is established at 1,000 m above sea level.
December 1992 A four-seater high-speed quad lift is completed.
November 1993 The Niseko Free Passport System, Hokkaido’s first automatic common lift ticket gate system, is introduced at Niseko Annupuri International, Niseko Hirafu (Kogen, Hanazono), and Niseko Higashiyama ski resorts (currently four ski resorts: Niseko Annupuri International, Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village, and Niseko HANAZONO).
November 1999 The ski center Nook Annupuri undergoes renewal construction work.
November 2006 A vibration-damping device is installed in the gondola lift.
December 2010 A snow escalator is installed.
November 2015 The ski center Nook Annupuri and Rest House undergo renewal construction work.
November 2017 A four-seater lift for beginners is completed at the foot of the mountain.
